How to Make Reishi Mushroom Coffee
Buy fresh reishi mushrooms from a trustworthy mycology vendor.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, slice the mushrooms lengthwise, and place them in a glass casserole dish. You’re going to dehydrate the reishi strips for approximately 40 to 50 minutes, or until you feel they are light and dry. They should break fairly easily.
Next, put a piece of the reishi about 1 inch long into your coffee grinder and grind until fluffy. Pour the ground reishi into your French press.
Then grind your favorite coffee beans and add them to the French press as well. Pour in water heated to 210 degrees Fahrenheit. Halfway, give a stir and let the concoction bloom for one minute.
Top off the rest of the carafe with hot water, cover with a strainer, and let it brew for another 4 minutes.
While I wait, I like to add a little coconut creamer to my cup.
After the 4 minutes, push down the plunger and pour your reishi-enhanced coffee into your mug and enjoy!
